I created cs2locker.com, a fast-growing site for Counter-Strike 2 players who want better trade up and loadout tools. My goal was to fill the gap left by CSGOStash with accurate trade up calculators, a reverse trade up tool that starts from the skin you want, and a loadout builder powered by live skin data from multiple markets.
My idea with CS2Locker is to help players plan and build better CS2 inventories and loadouts in less time, focusing on the popular trade up contract feature.
How It All Started
It all started when Valve released a major update to the trade up contract system. The community was buzzing about the new possibilities, like trading 5 red-tier skins for a knife. We were all wondering about the odds. Thanks to community-provided unboxing rates, it was clear they were the same as case odds.
But there was more. Valve changed how trade ups work fundamentally, linking them to float value caps. A few friends and I dived deep, figured out the new formula, and tested it with multiple trade ups. I immediately implemented this into a new trade up calculator for the site.
CS2Locker was one of the first platforms to implement the new, accurate trade up formula into an easy-to-use calculator.
A user then suggested a reverse function: you input the skin you desire, and the site shows you the inputs needed. I coded this up, and the tweet showcasing it went viral. The rest is history.
